A COLOURFUL cast of characters, including Merida from the movie Brave and Alice in Wonderland were all represented when the 1st Troon Brownies and 2nd Troon Guides both held Hallowe'en parties in the Scout Hall.
Cowboys and vampires also took centre stage at the two parties, with 25 Brownies and 30 Guides attending.
The Brownies enjoyed dooking for apples, making a ghost and they took part in a Mars Bar game while Guides recruits enjoyed making ugly biscuits.
Members of the Brownies also made some donations to the Portland Church shoebox appeal in aid of Samaritan's Purse is an evangelical Christian humanitarian organisation who provide aid to people in physical need as a key part of Christian missionary work.
Guides and Brownies leader Janie Maxwell said: "The parties went well and everyone enjoyed themselves."
The girls are taking part in the Wintertainment parade on Sunday, November 22 when they are also hosting a fundraising coffee afternoon.
