OLYMPIC swimmer Sharron Davies will be guest of one of the traders at the Ayr Show, which is being staged by the Ayrshire Agricultural Association on Saturday, May 14.

One of the country’s most popular athletes, Ms Davies maintains a busy lifestyle with regular media appearances and backing disabled sport issues through her own foundation.

She will be supporting the campaign No Bite is Right when she appears at the event at Ayr Racecourse, which involves a series of roadshows throughout the country.

The campaign is part of a parasite protection project called It’s a Jungle Out There, which is designed to get the message across to pet owners about the threat posed by parasites and ticks.

Attending the Ayr roadshow along with medal-winning swimmer and devoted dog owner Ms Davies are the other members of Bayer’s panel of experts, called the Tick-Buster Squad – Dr Jenny Helm and Professor Richard Wall.
Bayer is a global enterprise which specialises in the life science fields of health care and agriculture.

Pet owners visiting the Ayr show are encouraged to attend Bayer’s stand and find out about the dangers lurking outdoors – and meet one of the country’s most popular sporting personalities in the UK.
