THERE has been one serious assault and two common assaults in Troon in the last four weeks members of the Troon Community Council heard.
They were also informed that local police are currently following a positive line of inquiry after two pensioners were targeted by bogus callers, at their homes, claiming they were carrying out work in the local area.
Since their last meeting, there have been three shop liftings in the town, three noise complaints and two misuse of drug arrests, one on Bank Street and the other on Bridgend Street.
There have also been 26 road traffic matters and two cases of vandalism in Island Pin Road.
Cllr Nan McFarlane said: "I fear that the number of drug related incidents has escalated."
Police Constable Lindsay Booth, said: "We need local people to find those involved in the use, so we know who they are and where they live so we can deal with the problem."
She advised a concerned member of TCC to officially report the men who allegedly urinated in front of their elderly neighbour on Charles Drive, after they were asked to turn the music down.
