TROON police were called out to help capture two cows and one bull which had escaped from a nearby field.
Officers believe the incident was sparked when the bull tried to chase his female companions who were not in the mood for his 'nonsense' and decided to break free.
But the issue was resolved and the adventurous cattle were returned home.
In the last four weeks five missing people have been reported with one person being reported missing three times.
Officers in Troon have attended two attempted house break ins within the town, three assaults, 11 thefts including four shop liftings and two vans being stolen.

Police have also received six complaints about the parking issues at the High Grove. Local policing structure will change as a result of the new Chief Constable coming into post
Inspector Alister Kelly said: "Management structure is going to change. I will now cover Troon, Prestwick and Carrick. Basically I will cover everywhere bar Ayr. But I will still be able to be contacted as usual."
