TWO men have been jailed after they tried to steal a van from the Tesco car park on Whitletts Road.
Kevin Sheekey of Corsehill Crescent, Coylton, aged 26 and Stuart Buchan of Church Court, Ayr aged 28 appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court recently.
The pair both pleaded guilty to being found in a motor can at a car park at the premises occupied by Tesco without lawful authority to be there intending to commit theft there on June 15, this year.
Buchan had already been granted bail on May, 23 at Ayr JP court.
Sheekey further admitted stealing a wallet and other contents on Ayr's
Sandgate also on June 15, 2016. Sheriff Leslie sentenced both men to five months imprisonment.
