A WOMAN was charged after claims she abandoned her young kids at home in Maybole.

The 33-year-old woman was also done for drink driving.

At around 3.30am on Saturday July 16 cops spotted a black Chevrolet vehicle which had damage to its front end in Coral Glen, and its owner was traced nearby.

It is claimed it was then discovered that she had left her two kids, aged three and five alone in the house. She is due in court.

She was released on undertaking and is expected to be in court in the coming weeks.
