THE SUPERB Ayr Flower Show is coming to town this weekend.

The show is viewed as massive ‘family day out’ which has been critically acclaimed in the past and will returnthis year from Friday to Sunday, August 5 to 7.

The event is held at the stunning Rozelle Park with its beautiful feature trees, ponds, and woodland walks near to Burns’ Birthplace in Alloway.
For it is now a three-day family festival in which food and fun complement flowers and fruit in a heady mixture that has become increasingly attractive to a much wider market.

Also at the event, Guide Dogs Scotland want people to drop by and say hello to their volunteers, dogs and puppies. The Guide Dogs Volunteer information stand will help you discover how you can make a difference to the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted.

“We’re really looking forward to meeting people at the show and we’ll have a warm welcome ready,” said Tammy Robinson, newly appointed Community Fundraiser.

The average lifetime cost of a guide dog is £50,000 and Guide Dogs receives no government funding for this service, which is supported entirely by public generosity, and the hard work of our fundraising volunteers.

You could help Guide Dogs raise money to provide by becoming a member of our Ayrshire fundraising group, help someone with sight loss get out and about by becoming a sighted guide, or give one of our puppies a great start in their training by becoming a puppy walker.

Event times are: Friday: 10am to 6pm Saturday: 10am to 6pm  Sunday: 10am to 5pm Patrons can access the Show one hour earlier on Friday and on Saturday.

Please note that admission to the Show closes one hour prior to the designated closing time.
