FOUR thugs attacked three men, at the Red Lion in Prestwick during a bevy, leaving one of them scarred for life.

Graham Steele (23), Scott Murdoch (34), Jordon Brown (23) and Dawn Murdoch (30), all from Patna, appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Steele and Brown admitted assaulting one of the men at the pub last September by repeatedly punching his head and body.

All four members of the group admitted, assaulting another man, on the same night, repeatedly striking him on the head with a glass, severely injuring him and causing permanent disfigurement.

They also punched his head and body, pulled him to the floor punching him repeatedly and kicking his head.

Graham Steel, Scott Murdoch and Jordon Brown pleaded guilty to seizing another man by the neck, repeatedly pushing him, lunging towards him and presenting a bar stool at him.

Addressing the dock Sheriff Leslie said: "You had been drinking all day and had taken up the wrong end of the stick and as a result assaulted one man who was quite seriously injured which will have some impact on his life as a result."

Steele has been ordered to complete one year of CPO under supervision and to complete 250 hours of unpaid work within six months.

He will pay £250 to his first victim and £750 to his second victim and has also been tagged from 9pm until 5am daily.

Scott Murdoch has also been ordered to complete one year of CPO and 200 hours of unpaid work within six months. He will pay £750 compensation to his victim, permanently scarred.

Brown will complete 150 hours unpaid work within six months and pay £250 to the first man assaulted. Dawn Murdoch has been ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work within six months.
