Troon driver caught doing '110mph' in 70mph zone
A MAN has been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly driving at 110mph in a 70mph in Troon.
It is claimed that at 9am on Monday, September 12 a 19-year-old man was caught driving a red Audi at excessive speeds on the A78 at Lochgreen Avenue.
The Ayr Advertiser Series understands that traffic police were on patrol and observed the vehicle driving at these speeds and told it to stop.
The PF service will determine the outcome of the offence. At the time we went to press there were no updates on the situation.
