IT will soon be time to get busy with masking tape and withy as workshops start in schools and clubs throughout Carrick for the 12th Lantern Project The Carnival of Light Life Cycles 2016.

CRAG are promising something very special as this year’s parade could well be the most colourful to date.

Inside info suggests the use of colour on lanterns, with animals, flowers the seasons and the natural world as a topic and a masked parade it could well be the most spectacular lantern procession to date.

The drums are set to roll on October, 22 with samba and evening of light music and lanterns.

If you would like your group to take part in the lantern Project or you would like further info phone 01465 715621, Facebook Carrick Light Festival or text 07791109505.

Behind the scenes CRAG have been working hard to try and fund the 2016 Lantern Project with another Car Boot Fundraiser in the Catholic Hall on September, 25 from 11am.

It’s your chance to clear out the clutter and make some cash, stalls are £10 with home baking teas and coffees and there’s always a range of stalls from vintage to crafts books, toys, clothes and bric a brac and jewellery.

Why not support the 2016 lantern project by coming down and joining us for a cuppa and a cake?
