THE Nicedays store in Maybole is set for a makeover which will lead to more employment in the town.
Arif Ali Malik's shop is almost doubling in size and was present for the licensing board meeting at South Ayrshire Council this past Thursday. Councillors heard that the store which has not been upgraded in 20 years, was being refurbished to give the people of Maybole a better shopping experience and more importantly more staff will be employed.
Councillor Peter Convery was delighted to hear of the £60,000 investment by Mr. Malik. He said: "I am delighted to see substantial investment especially in Maybole.
"I am very happy to hear also about the additional staff that will be coming to the store. I have no qualms about approving this application".
The new refurbishment of the store's license was unanimously granted in a meeting chaired by Councillor Ann Galbraith.
