FRIENDLY neighbourhood Spider-Man swung by Ayr on holiday this week.

The super-hero who is usually slinging a web round 5th Avenue in New York and sitting atop the Empire State Building decided to swap all that for Newmarket Street. Spider-Man was happy to sight see and visit the gadget exchange shop CEX.

The superhero said: “It is still a big town size (Ayr) but it is not as big as New York. You know, you have to recharge your batteries when you are in somewhere like New York. Scotland is a really good place to come to.”
Spidey as usual was keeping out for any criminals and praised Ayr for being ‘crime-free’.

He continued: “I have heard some rumours of some clowns coming around. But other than that it this place has been pretty crime-free. It’s pretty impressive.”

Karen, a user on Facebook commented on the positive aspect of the video, saying: “Well I just explained this story to my nervous five year old because an older child scared him tonight with the story of evil clowns and it made a big difference. He is now all smiles and no longer worried. So this might seem silly to others but it will make a difference to scared children.”

The video which is on YouTube has been viewed hundreds of times. The real people behind the video were UWS students Kenny G Milne, Craig Watt and Natalie Barclay playing Spidey’s love interest Gwen Stacy!

Kenny said: “We wanted to start our own YouTube based production company so this is one of the videos we will be shooting”

Who knows who will pop up in Ayr next week...
