AN anti-stalking charity boss followed his ex to a funeral a court has heard.
Peter Noreiko, 67, admitted to stalking Elaine Ferrie around Troon and bombarding her and others with text messages and emails.

Noreiko appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court for sentencing on Thursday.
Ms Ferrie decided to end the relationship after five years of marriage and Noreiko began harassing and stalking her and continuously contacted her friends, family and business partner.

Noreiko left anti-stalking charity, Action Against Stalking earlier this year.
The court heard how Noreiko chased had around the town over a nine month campaign of fear.

Depute fiscal Scott Toal told the court how Ms Ferrie was set to attend her friend's father's funeral, but she caught wind that Noreiko was likely to show up. She decided not to go to the funeral but Noreiko showed up and began looking for her and asking about her.

The court also heard how he sent his ex-wife love letters and even followed her in his car.

Mr Toal told how on one occasion Noreiko showed up at Ms Ferrie's home and tried to get in. He said: "She tried to close close the door on him and he put his foot in the door. This left her terrified and she said she was going to call the police and he said 'call the police'."

Mr Toal also noted how Ms Ferrie's business partner became increasingly worried.

On another occasion Noreiko tried to force his way in to Ms Ferrie's motor. Mr Toal added: "The accused ran to the car and tried to open the door but she drove off, leaving him standing.

"Throughout the following weeks she received a series of emails and text messages.

In June this year Noreiko showed up at a Slimming World class and left letters for his ex-wife.

Mr Toal added: "She felt that he was watching her every move."
Noreiko was due to discover his fate but Sheriff Mhairi MacTaggart deferred sentence until next month for further reports.
