FANTASTIC Fullarton Fairy Trail has won the Outstanding Community Group award at this year’s South Ayrshire Council’s ‘The Outstanding People Awards’.

The group which is run by Troon Business Association member Donna Read, has claimed victory in the award that she said they were more than happy just to be nominated for.

The award ceremony took place at Ayr Racecourse on Thursday, November 17 where all groups and councillors came together for a fantastic awards ceremony.

After taking the award, Donna posted on Facebook her thanks to everyone that helped Fullarton Fairy Trail reap the success in such a small time.

Ayr Advertiser:

She said: “I would like to thank Lorraine Doak for the fabulous artwork she created. Jinty and Lesley who paint our fairy doors, Karen Martin and the team of volunteers who help run the pumpkin trail and Craig Steele for the amazing wood carvings.

“Would like to thank Fiona Ross, David Loudon and the team from South Ayrshire Council for their support.

“Also our families who help and support our fairy mischief.
