POLICE are still appealing for witnesses after a Weimaraner dog attacked a Great Dane in Troon.
The incident is said to have taken place on Saturday, December 3 at 3.10pm on the Ayrshire Coastal Path at the South Beach Esplanade.
The champagne coloured Weimaraner is described as being dangerously out of control in a public place and left the other dog with bite marks and scratches to both sides.
Officers are looking are trying to find the female owner of the 'dangerous dog' who is believed to be in her 40s and was with two teenage boys at the time.
Anyone with any information should get in touch with the station via the non emergency number on 101. Alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
