THE AMBITIOUS project to deliver a bright, modern leisure and community centre for the people of Girvan and South Carrick is now nearing completion, thanks to South Ayrshire Council.
With the exterior now largely complete, contractors are in the process of fitting-out the interior of this flagship project ahead of its official opening.
Councillor Bill Grant, South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, Tourism & Leisure said work was progressing well.
He said: “It’s fantastic to see the Quay Zone so near to completion, with the finishing touches helping to bring the project to life.
“The brilliant new facility is located in such a way that the beautiful vista and the backdrop of Ailsa Craig remains a positive feature for locals and visitors alike.
“I’m sure the community won’t be disappointed with the finished product, and I look forward to seeing this superb facility open its doors in March.”
