A WOMAN who bit her partner, after he told her he had slept with someone else, has been released on bail.

Caroline Marris, of Russell Drive, Ayr admitted assaulting the man on Monday, January 16 at her home address.

The 49-year-old appeared before Sheriff John Montgomery at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Depute Fiscal Scott Toal explained: "The complainer and the accused had been living together. The complainer had been released from custody after he assaulted the accused.

"The complainer came back to the home address with the accused. They were drinking and the upstairs neighbours called the police. Police noticed he was not wearing a top and had a bite mark on his shoulder.

"She said she had bitten him because he had had sexual relations with others."

Sheriff Montgomery deferred sentence for four months for Marris to be of good behaviour.
