SCOTRAIL is urging customers in Ayrshire to check their journey times before they travel, as engineering works are taking place over the coming weeks.
On some weekends in February and March, buses replace trains for all or part of journeys between Glasgow Central and Ayr.
To avoid disappointment, the train operator is encouraging customers to plan ahead and check their journey plans on the ScotRail app or at scotrail.co.uk.
A ScotRail Alliance spokesperson said: A ScotRail Alliance spokesperson said: “These are vital works and we are doing everything we can to keep our customers moving during them. We appreciate their patience as we work to deliver a better railway for Scotland.”
Saturday, March 4:
Buses replace trains between Ayr and Kilwinning. Train services between Glasgow Central and Ayr are revised.
Sunday, March 5:
Buses replace trains between Paisley and Ardrossan, Largs and Ayr.
