A CAR turned onto its roof on Dunure Road however everyone in the car walked with no serious injuries.

The incident happened just after midnight on Saturday, February 11 when all four people in the car were trapped after the vehicle turned onto its roof following a crash.

Fire services released all four individuals and three of those were able to leave the scene on foot.

Station Manager Derek Davidson said: “Fire crews rendered first aid to the only casualty remaining at the scene at that time while awaiting arrival of an ambulance. Colleagues from Police Scotland searched the surrounding area and located the three missing individuals and all four involved were assessed by ambulance personnel and deemed not to need hospital treatment.

“Once again this appears to be a case of a motorist not driving to suit the road conditions or their abilities but thankfully on this occasion all four persons within the vehicle have been very fortunate to suffer no serious injuries. I regularly urge drivers to slow down, assess their own abilities and risks and hazards on the road keeping their speed at a suitable level to maintain their safety and that of other road users but not unusually my please seem to be ignored. It’s better to get to your destination five minutes later than not at all.”
