SCOUTS from hit ITV talent show The Voice will be dropping into an Ayrshire open mic night this month in a bid to uncover the next big singing star, ahead of the show’s 2017/18 auditions.
On April 23 Buzzworks venue Elliots, in Prestwick, will welcome three special guests – two talent scouts from The Voice and 2016 contestant Laura Begley – keen to discover Ayrshire’s hidden musical talent.
Compere Scott Nicol will host the first come first served open mic from 7.30pm, open to all solo and duo acts over the age of 16 by October 2017.
Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: “Ayrshire is bursting with musical talent and it’s fantastic that we can bring ITV scouts right to our doorstep.
“We wish everyone entering the very best of luck.”
Budding popstars and confident crooners can prepare up to two songs and bring their own instruments or MP3 backing track to accompany their performance.
Entries open at 6.30pm with the first act on stage at 7.30pm.
DJ Boab McKee will also take to the decks following the event. See Facebook & Twitter @buzzafterdark.
