GIRVAN'S Quay Zone will officially open this weekend after two months of being open to the public.

There will be a special opening celebration and fund day at the leisure centre this Saturday, June 24 for friends and family to enjoy.

With lots to see and do both inside and out of the building, it is a perfect opportunity for those who have not already seen inside, a chance to look around and see what is on offer.

Courtesy of The Quay Zone, there will be bouncy castles, burgers, challenges, family fun pool sessions, play zone sessions and much more.

South Carrick Community Leisure will celebrate their fantastic community achievement of the opening of fitness centre with an official opening ceremony where they will locate a time capsule at the entrance.

Anyone with suggestions for the contents is encouraged to get in touch.

The group are delighted to have Angie Malone, British & Scottish Paralympian and World Champion Wheelchair Curler, coming along to conduct the official opening, which will run from 11am until 2pm.

Supporters are encouraged to save the date and not to miss out on this special occasion.
