CHILDREN can read all about it at a series of story themed events.
Throughout the summer, tots aged between two and 10 are invited to Hansel’s HI Street in Prestwick to take part in free reading sessions led by Ayr’s Waterstones.
Starting on Wednesday, July 12, children will be read books and poems to suit all ages, between 1:30pm and 2pm and it will be run until August 16.
Brooke O’Connell of HI Street, said: “The book reading sessions will be great for kids to do over the summer holidays.
“I think we all appreciate how hard it can be entertaining youngsters over the holidays and these sessions hopefully provide a short respite for mums whilst keeping children occupied and interested.
“We are close with Waterstones in Ayr so we want to take advantage of the relationship we have and the staff will be doing the readings for the children.
“We want to raise the profile of Hansel and the different events that the shop and the charity so and this is an event for children and it is an opportunity to see what Hansel is all about.
“Due to their being a potential mix of age groups, there will be books and poems read on the first reading session.”
