IT’S NOT long until Girvan Harbour Gala which takes place later this month.
The Miami Fair Ride has been confirmed and there’s still time to get a team together to take part in the Gala Raft Race.
Pre-built rafts will be available on the day. The event will take place from noon until 4pm on Sunday, July 23 so make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun.
There will be plenty to see and do for all the family with RNLI Rescue Display, stalls, funfair, Emergency Services area, raft race and much more.
Andrew Murphy pipes, Glitter n Glue, Owl Magic, a car boot sale and a BBQ will be set up for visitors to enjoy.
This will be Girvan Mersey Class lifeboat’s last gala. She has been afloat since 1993.
Mersey class are all-weather lifeboats operated by the RNLI from stations around the coasts of Great Britain and Ireland.
They are capable of operating at up to 17 knots (31 km/h) and can be launched from a carriage.
