MORE than 200 people turned out in near-perfect weather conditions for the Troon Bowling Club Summer Fair on Saturday.

People of all ages turned out for some fun in the sun and there was an opportunity for youngsters to try their hand at bowling.

A bottle stall was organised and there was a wet sponge competition.

Troon Times:

A book stall proved very popular and records were also for sale along with jumble as people queued up to get their  hands on a bargain.

Tea and coffee were on offer along with some mouthwatering home baking and there was a tombola along with golden envelopes which had prizes inside.

A whole host of prizes were on offer, including vouchers for various restaurants.

The event is set to raise £1,400 which will go towards the running of the bowling club.
