TROON Lifeboat Station Open Day allowed interested groups and individuals to take a look at the RNLI and discover how they operate.
Those who attended on Saturday, July 22 were able to take a look at the Trent class all weather lifeboat ‘RNLB Jim Moffat’ and D class inshore lifeboat ‘Telford Shopping Centre’.
From 11am until 4pm they had the chance to speak to volunteer crew to find out about the training they carry out and the variety of callouts they attend.
At the lifeboat station there were also various stalls and attractions as well as other emergency services. It was a great day out for the whole family, and Troon volunteers are grateful for the support they received for their local station.
