A MAN has appeared on petition at Ayr Sheriff Court charged with driving a van into Ayr police station while over the drink drive limit.
Alexander McDonald, who is from Galston, has been charged under the ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1988 S2, ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1988 S5(1)(A) and made no plea.
The 38-year-old is accused of crashing a white Vauxhall van into the front of the King’s Street premises at 12.55am on Sunday, July 23, before driving off along Whittletts Road, Ayr, north towards the A77.
He has been committed for further examination and remanded in custody and will re-appear in court within 8 days
