RESIDENTS of Sunningdale Avenue and other streets situated near Maybole Road feel they should be part of Alloway and Doonfoot.
They are currently part of the Belmont, Kincaidston and St Leonards community council but after attending meetings realise there is little they can relate to at meetings.
Members attended an Alloway and Doonfoot community council meeting asking to join and be part of discussions.
Cllr Siobhian Brown said: "There are boundaries on Maybole Road which means those who live on Sunningdale Avenue should be part of Alloway and Doonfoot but are part of another ward.
"We can look into this."
The council say they are looking into changing the community council boundaries in due course.
Claire Monaghan, Head of Communities, said: “We are grateful for the efforts of Community Councils across South Ayrshire and will always work with them to ensure residents are represented.
The Council wards changed in September of last year and as result we are now looking to revise a small number of our Community Council boundaries to reflect these changes.
"Consultation will be carried out prior to any alterations.”
