LITTLE Stars lit up Ayr town centre on Sunday as the Christmas lights were switched on.
This was a new approach as the celebration involved young people from across South Ayrshire taking centre stage to raise money for NSPCC and other local charities on Sunday, November 19.
The day began with Santa, his reindeer and other Christmas characters arriving by sleigh and train before school pupils and youth performers appeared at the brand new Wallace Tower Little Stars stage.
Entertainment took place at the brand new Newmarket Street stage along with fun activities, Santa’s grotto and a Santa dash at Ayr Central.
There was a dance extravaganza at the Arran Mall and children were able to take a ride on the Christmas express train with elves, sleighs and reindeer.
