TROON Secret Santa now has almost 1,000 members since its launch four years ago.

Families and friends have been donating gifts at shops around Troon, Barassie and Muirhead as the excitement builds ahead of the exciting campaign.

Deliveries will start on Friday, December 8.

The Troon Times are getting behind the campaign by printing a Secret Santa Stop here voucher, which people can cut out and place in their window if they would like Secret Santa to drop in.

Nominations are now open for Troon children to receive a gift from Secret Santa, this can be done by private messaging through the Troon Secret Santa Facebook group.

Troon Secret Santa started four years ago and was the brainchild of Campbell Malone, a New Zealand school teacher originally from Troon.

It is set up through a Facebook group run by Caroline Cummings and Campbell. Each year other Troon people have been involved as volunteers, giving their time and energy to help sort and deliver donated Selection Boxes and other small gifts to others.

Troon people are encouraged to donate Christmas Selection Boxes to Troon Secret Santa at donation points around the town.

They are also encouraged to write to Troon Secret Santa, via the Facebook page, and nominate children and elderly Troon people who might love a secret gift to be delivered from Santa in December.

This has proved to be very popular with hundreds of Christmas gifts given out each Christmas in Troon.

Campbell and Caroline would like to thank the wonderful people of Troon for their kindness in the past, donating hundreds of Christmas gifts, and look forward to delivering this year’s selection boxes etc to your children, grandchildren and families throughout December.
