ALZHEIMER’S Research UK were presented with a large sum of money.
At their annual dinner on Friday, December 1 at The South Beach Hotel, Troon Welbeck Ladies Golf Club handed over a cheque for £2500 to Kyle Lockhart, Alzheimer’s Research UK Regional Fundraising Officer for Scotland, who was at the event on behalf of the charity.
The cheque was given by the Captain of Troon Welbeck Ladies Golf Club, Anne Fraser.
Mr Lockhart, said: “We’re so grateful to Troon Welbeck Golf Club Ladies for supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK.
“Dementia affects 70,000 people in Scotland and over 4,100 across Ayrshire and Arran.
“Fantastic fundraising efforts like this will help power world-class dementia research projects helping to shape our understanding of the condition and open the door to new treatments.”
