A MAN crashed his car while allegedly under the influence of drink or drugs.
It is claimed at 7pm on Sunday, June 3 the 32-year-old was stopped at School Road, Minishant.
A member of the public notified police on patrol about a driver who appeared to be under the influence.
They traced the vehicle, which had stopped and had accident damage. The driver was inside and appeared to be under the influence.
The Ayr Advertiser Series understands that he then attempted to get rid of a quantity of blue tablets and was arrested for attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The man was also charged with driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He was due to appear at court on Monday, June 4.
Police confirmed enquiries are ongoing in relation to the quantity of tablets found on the male.
