Members of the Carrick Round Table group have been blown away by the generosity shown shown for the Maybole Foodbank.
Foodbank donations from the Summer Sleigh have been weighed and the community have collectively donated a massive 2.2 tons of food or, in Santa terms, the equivalent weight of 14 reindeers.
A spokesperson for Carrick Round Table said: “Absolutely fantastic community response, thanks to everyone who donated, the NCCBC magazine, Carrick Centre and Wilma and her amazing team at the Maybole Foodbank.”
Santa is now back home in the North Pole and looking forward to seeing the fantastic, tight knit community again in December.
Well done to everyone who has supported both the Carrick Round Table and the Maybole Foodbank over the past few months.
