The new Maybole Leisure Club welcomed special guests for its official opening event on Wednesday.
Councillors and invited guests visited the facility at Maybole Community Campus after it opened to the public last month.
Councillor Brian Connolly, portfolio holder for sport and leisure, cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the much-anticipated facility.
He was joined by leader of South Ayrshire Council Martin Dowey, other local councillors, directors and council staff.
Following the move from Maybole Swimming Pool, which closed in December, the new leisure club boasts a 25m swimming pool, changing village, community meeting room, fitness suite and sports halls.
Maybole Leisure Club opened its doors to the public earlier in January, hosting a range of free taster sessions for fitness classes, fun sessions, and tours of the brand-new facility.
A standard programme of activities has now been introduced, which caters to a wide range of interests and age groups.
Councillor Brian Connolly said: “The opening of Maybole Leisure Club is an exciting new chapter and a significant milestone for Maybole and the surrounding community.
“With its diverse range of activities and modern amenities, it promises to be a hub of community activity and wellbeing for years to come.
"It’s already proving hugely popular - visitor numbers to the new centre have already tripled since it first opened, compared to the old pool.”
