South Ayrshire Council has hit out at vandals who damaged lawns in two Ayr parks.
Grass areas at Belleisle and Rozelle were damaged by cars over the weekend, and the council is now installing bollards to prevent any further damage.
The council says that Police Scotland has now been told about the damage.
A spokesperson said: "Last weekend the lawns at Belleisle and Rozelle parks were damaged by cars.
"Nobody wants to see these lovely parks spoiled by unsightly tyre marks, so we’re going to install bollards to prevent this from happening in the future.
"Police Scotland has been informed about the damage."
