The Heathfield Household Waste Recycling Centre in Ayr has been closed for the rest of the day following a fire.
Firefighters were called to the site earlier today to attend a "small fire", which was extinguished.
The site is expected to reopen as normal on Friday, but bookings for the remainder of Thursday have been cancelled.
Customers affected by the closure can rebook a slot via the council's household waste recycling centre booking system at www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/recycling-centres.
A council spokesperson said: "A variety of slots are available over the next four days. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
