Drivers in Troon are being warned to leave extra time for their journeys following the closure of a busy road in town for the next two weeks.

Craigend Road is part of a major route from the town centre to the A78, running past Royal Troon Golf Club.

A 900-metre stretch of the road is closed each day from 8am until 5pm, until Sunday, May 5 or the works are completed.

Emergency services access will not be affected, and access for residents and deliveries will be maintained via a diversion route.
