Prestwick residents to continue fighting new superpub

CONCERN is still prevalent in Prestwick about the development of a Wetherspoon's superpub in the old Woolworths store in the Main Street.
Last month the development by JD Wetherspoons was given planning permission by South Ayrshire Council's Regulatory Panel, despite several objections from Prestwick North Community Council, Prestwick Councillor Hugh Hunter and Buzzworks.
Now Prestwick North Community Council is considering starting a petition against the superpub because they bleive the town has enough pubs already.
