Christmas lights smashed?

SOUTH Ayrshire’s Christmas lights reportedly took a bashing when they were moved between facilities.

Mixed reports have been received about the state of the council’s Christmas lights with rumours circulating that many, including the Troon lights, were damaged beyond repair.

Cllr Margaret Toner at a meeting of Prestwick North Communtiy Council spoke of the troubling situation with the council’s Christmas lights.

She said: “The Christmas lights were badly stored and a lot of Christmas lights have suffered. Prestwick haven’t done too badly but the bit round the sundial is now past its sell by date. But we have negotiated to do an extra two trees at the cross to make up for it.”
