ANGRY parents of Cairn and Gardenrose Primary School pupils are protesting over South Ayrshire Council's plans to merge the schools.
Back in June SAC announced its proposals which could see Cairn PS being closed and merged with Gardenrose PS but P7s being forced to join Carrick Academy.
As we went to press the council were presenting its proposal document to the Leadership Panel with its preferred option being to close and merge the two schools.
Outraged parents have already staged a protest at the Maybole school and say they will continue to fight these plans.
