A FORMAL switch on event of the new lights illuminating Ayr Town Hall and Newmarket Street will take place next Friday, November 26, at 5pm hosted by Ayr Renaissance LLP.

Ayr schoolboy and double world record holder in Racerunning, Gavin Drysdale, will flick the switch at the event which will be attended by Alan MacDonald, chairman of the Ayr Renaissance Board, Councillor Bill McIntosh, leader of South Ayrshire Council, chief executive of Ayr Renaissance, David Bell, South Ayrshire Council chief executive David Anderson and local elected members, contractors, designers and others involved with the project.
