AN Ayr man went back to a town centre pub armed with a knife after he had been thrown out for verbally abusing his partner.

James Wilson, 39, of South Harbour Street appeared on deferred sentence at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

He had earlier admitted committing a breach of the peace at Bridges Bar on May 15 by shouting, swearing and brandishing a knife.
