A NEW lighting scheme for the Auld Kirk which will light up 11 graves including Burns' fathers was approved the week before the Bard's birthday.

Plans for the historic 16th century kirk and kirkyard which is a setting of Burns' masterpiece Tam o' Shanter were approved by South Ayrshire Council's regulatory panel on Thursday, January 19.
