Hundreds rally round to save sick Ailsa, 2

MORE than 300 people gave 15 minutes of their time on Saturday to try and save a Dundonald girl's life.

An incredible 318 people, from Girvan to Fife, went to St Meddan's Parish Church hall in Troon on Saturday, June 30, to give a saliva sample and join the bone marrow register.

The event was organised by Strathclyde Fire and Rescue (attended by a fire engine from Troon) in partnership with the Anthony Nolan Trust, who run the bone marrow register, in aid of two-year-old Ailsa Croll from Dundonald who was recently diagnosed with aplastic anemia and desperately needs a bone marrow transplant.
