Rail boost for winter commuters

TRAIN services from Troon, Prestwick and Ayr are set to improve this December after Scotrail's new timetable was approved.

As previously reported by the 'Advertiser Series' Scotrail planned an additional service per hour during the offpeak and faster journey times during peak periods at South Ayrshire stations Barassie, Troon, Prestwick Airport, Prestwick Town, Newton on Ayr and Ayr, plans that were signed off this week.
