SOUTH Carrick is being overrun by windfarms according to Pinwherry and Pinmore Community Council who believe that their beautiful natural landscape is on the brink of destruction.

The Stinchar Valley in South Carrick has been the target of 3 windfarms totalling 141 turbines, and an additional 132 turbines have been applied for, not to mention the other 16 windfarms in South Carrick and Galloway that are at various stages of application.
