Crowds gather for Girvan RNLI Gala

THERE were smiles at Girvan Harbour Gala and despite the lack of sun thousands of pounds were raised for the town's RNLI crew.

Ian Fitzsimmons, an organiser of the event, said: "It went very well. The car park was packed with cars."
