A NEW game has been launched by the House of Commons to allow youngsters to try being an MP for the week.

The opportunity is open to all youngsters and includes deciding on laws, debating with other MPs, dealing with the media, making a speech in the House of Commons Chamber and meeting your constituents.

MP Sandra Osborne said: "This is another fantastic educational tool launched by the House of Commons. I am often asked to speak to school classes and youth groups about what it is like to be an MP. The best way to learn about the job of your MP is to have a try and I have to say the game is very realistic. I think MPs could learn something from this game. We must always look at new ways to get young people involved in the political process and enjoying learning about politics and the impact it can have."
