A PENSIONER pervert who preyed on a young woman with learning difficulties has been jailed for 16 months.
And at Ayr Sheriff Court, Sheriff Jack McGowan ordered twisted James Hendrie, 65, to be placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for "an indefinite period".
Earlier the court heard that Hendrie's vulnerable 25-year-old victim was lying on an airbed in his living room wearing her nightie when he pounced.
Depute fiscal Gale Harding said: "This lady has learning difficulties and attended Hazeldean Care Service Centre in Kilwinning.
"In July 2008 social workers at Hazeldean became aware that something might have happened following a comment from the lady's sister.
"Following this one of the social work assistants spoke with the woman and she did in fact state that she had been touched inappropriately by someone called James."
The police were called and the woman was interview in the presence of social workers and that is when she told them what Hendrie had done to her in his Troon home.
