A SHERIFF has shown mercy to a nurse who stalker her fisherman ex-boyfriend and trapped him in his house.

At one stage obsessed Pamela Sangster even cut off James Jack's phone to stop him calling the police.

The 41-year-old couldn't accept that her relationship with Mr Jack - a 35-year-old married dad - was over and she travelled from her home in Fife to Dunure.

There she refused to leave Mr Jack's house and followed him from room to room shouting and swearing and then tampered with his phone.

On another occasion, when her former lover was trying to enjoy a day out at the Scottish Grand National in Ayr, she harassed him there.

But Sangster's solicitor George More told Ayr Sheriff Court that all Sangster wanted was an explanation as to why Jack had "dumped" her as she lay seriously ill in hospital after a car crash.
