South Ayrshire police face pain of cuts

SOUTH Ayrshire’s police force is set to be cut as hundreds of civilian jobs go after discussions were held by Strathclyde Police at County Buildings in Ayr.

Strathclyde Police Authority (SPA), at the headquarters of South Ayrshire Council on Thursday, August 26, met to discuss a voluntary redundancy initiative that will see hundreds of civilian officers and staff lose their jobs.
